What’s up Wednesday

Hey Everyone!

I for one can NOT believe that we are at the end of June. I don’t even know where this month went. We were busy bees, that for sure. We took a trip up to Niagara Falls, finished up school for the year, celebrated Father’s Day and birthdays and weddings and Christenings. Whew- A lot of celebrating went on in June. July is promised to be SO MUCH EASIER and I can’t wait.

Here’s some more of what we are up to…

What We’re Eating This Week…

Whatever I can scrounge up from the cabinets, lol. No seriously, our dinners have been things like quesadillas and tuna melts or anything else that similarly takes about 15 minutes to make.

What I’m Reminiscing About…

Christenings. I was chosen to be the Godmother of my best friend’s baby girl and we had the ceremony this past weekend. It got me thinking about when my boys were Christened and how sweet my precious babies were. I was disappointed though because when I looked back I couldn’t find any pictures of their Christenings! I know I have a ton saved..somewhere.

Hank. This was not his outfit. He changed at the reception.

My mom and Reid while we were cleaning up from his party.

What I’m Loving…

The weather! It’s shaping up to be perfect weather for the holiday weekend!!

What We’ve Been Up To…

Last night we took the kids up to the carnival at church with their cousins. We had so much fun! The little rides were perfectly geared for our kids and they enjoyed all of the games as well. The carnival is a huge fundraiser for the church (and also Hank’s school). The highlight of the night- Hank saw his teachers and literally raced through the parking lot and jumped into Miss Julie’s arms. It filled my heart to see how happy he is at his school.

What I’m Dreading…

Our deck project which was never supposed to be a project. I mentioned earlier how we were building a nicer fence and gate around the pool and found that some of the boards of the deck were rotted (the boards were covered so we had no idea). So up went the deck boards. Not exactly what I’m going to want to be doing on my 4th of July weekend.

What I’m Working On…

The deck, lol. I also just went out and bought a TON of storage containers to start organizing all of the things that have gotten out of hand. Namely, the toys. I’m going to try to pack away a lot of the toys so we can have a better toy rotation.

What I’m Excited About…

I just downloaded one of those countdown apps and it told me I only have 80 days until our Disney trip. So excited!

What I’m Reading/Watching…

I’m catching up on Game of Thrones in preparation for the new season. There is so much I forget!

What I’m Listening To…

Hank talk about dinosaurs. I think we might be getting into a dinosaur phase but he seems to have a morbid curiosity about how they all died, haha.

What I’m Wearing…

Bathing suits, flip flops, sunblock.

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

The beach! I don’t think we will stay for the whole long weekend but we are going to head down and stay at my parent’s place for a few nights. The boys are begging to ride the rides and have a sandcastle making competition. Sounds good to me!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

July is going to be perfectly lazy. Summer t-ball starts tonight and Hank could not be more excited to make his baseball debut. We will also try to be at the beach as much as possible. And when we’re not swimming in the ocean, I’m sure we will be swimming in our pool. Summer fun is in full force.

What Else Is New…

I think that about covers it!

You are having an awesome summer, Tara! That sweet picture of the boys on the beach holding hands.😍 Why is it whenever you want a picture for your blog you can never find it…I waste more time looking for pictures than writing an entire post. Geesh!!! Happy Wednesday!

You have to get Hank the Nat Geo Kids dinosaur books- they’re fabulous! I love that you’re getting your 80 day WDW countdown going on, and I’m over here contemplating making a red and black countdown paper chain with over 340 days to go! LOL!
