I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend! On Saturday we packed up and hit the beach but lucky for us we were able to nab the ice cream truck on our street just as we were getting in the car to leave. Had to start the weekend off on a good foot, right?
As soon as we got down we headed straight to the ocean. It was a little foggy and overcast but that didn’t stop these two sandcastle makers.
At some point Reid just gave up on pants and was wandering the beach in his diaper. That kid knows how to vacation!
This day was easy. We beached, visited with family and friends who were also down, played at the park, ate our meals at the house and stopped by our favorite market for some late night snacks.
Sunday was absolutely gorgeous. The perfect beach day.
The boys and I walked up to the market for a carb laden breakfast of bagel and donuts. One of my favorite parts of the beach is when you get up early and take the boys around still in their jammies. We walked along to beach to get to the market and they trotted along picking up treasures along the route. We were in no hurry and were just able to take in the morning.
After breakfast we loaded up our sunscreen and shovels and hit the beach. It was very hot and the water was very cold but I didn’t mind the combo.
After the beach we swam in the pool…for hours. It was fun and relaxing. After the pool we continued our beach weekend routine and headed up on the boardwalk for pizza, games and rides.
We’ve still have a lot in store for the holiday. Hope you are all enjoying yourselves!
