It’s Monday Friends! Every week we have a new opportunity for a fresh start. Last week was spent running around like a crazy lady so this week I am vowing to slow down and take it easy.
On Friday I was definitely successful it keeping it easy. If you are a regular reader here, you’ll see that rare are the Friday nights that we actually venture outside our home. By Friday I am burnt out and all I want to do is come home to my boys.
This weekend I brought home a pizza and we all gobbled it up before the boys released their creative sides on my Target box. I wish I could say that I got some fun stuff from Target but I was just stocking up on diapers. BORING!
Saturday morning the boys and I satisfied our sweet tooth by making our favorite sugar cookie bars. I’ll be sharing the recipe on Thursday when I link up with my friend Allie over at A Gal Named Al.
The weather was finally warmer on Saturday (it was a tease, it went back to freezing that night). But we tried to take advantage of it by heading out to the yard, pulling out some weeds and assessing our spring projects. Last year was our first year in our home and I feel like we spent the bulk of our efforts on the inside of the house. This year, we have some pretty big projects to tackle outside.
Taking inventory of our pool toys.
After a while we were all tired of working so we walked to the park at the end of our block for some tennis and playing.
On Sunday, Kevin took the boys to swim while I attended a bridal shower for a friend.
The shower was absolutely stunning. But then again, so is the couple.
My gorgeous sister-in-law
On a boring note, I did get a new compact refrigerator for our bar (ours would freeze everything you put in it).
Have a good one gang. See you tomorrow when I’ll be linking with Andrea to talk about our top 5 photos.
