Spring Bucket List

We are still having wacky weather here in New Jersey but in my mind, spring has sprung.

I made a fun list of some of the things I want to do as a family this spring. we spend pretty much all of our time outdoors once the weather breaks but these are just a few things we plan to do to keep it exciting.

We already got a jump start on some of our planting. I had the boys plant seeds for some herbs and veggies in pods. If any survive, which I don’t think they will, we will transfer them to our planter boxes or our veggie garden.

I don’t have very high hopes for these. I don’t have the slightest green thumb. For now, they are enjoying the sunlight in the bay window off the living room.

Our area has a drive-in movie theater and I have been dying to take the kids. Kevin and I would go all the time when we were younger. They have a cute snack stand but I remember sneaking in a bottle of wine and once we brought a whole pizza. Ha! We’d open the hatch and snuggle up with blankets and pillows.

The only problem is that the shows begin pretty late so hopefully the boys can hack it. I’d fall asleep on the ride home EVERY TIME when we would go pre-kids.  If not, our town does several Movies in the Park which is right at the end of our block.

What are some things you all have planned for spring?

Oh the drive in is so fun! Haven’t been in years, so thanks for the idea! Good luck with your seeds! I kill every plant I meet except cactus!

Good luck with your seeds! We haven’t planted anything yet, but I can hardly wait for Spring! Hubby and I plant a pound of zinnia seeds every year – they’re incredibly easy to grow. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

I was so excited this morning when I checked my plants and the zinnias were already sprouting up. I’ve never planted anything so easy in my life. Good luck to you too!
