It is the last Friday in July! I feel like the summer that we wait all year for is slipping away. That doesn’t stop me from relishing in back to school shopping, though. This Mama is full force into inventorying the kids clothes and hit up the stores. School doesn’t start until September in these parts so there is still plenty of summer fun to be had. Last weekend was a lazy one in our house so we were hoping to be out and about this weekend. Unfortunately the weather s calling for this one to be a washout but we are holding out hope for some sunny skies.

My Fav Meme of the Week
I had to share this. My friend in the IT department of our company has been using this all week and I love it. I have been a solid 9 for the past few days.
The kids spent a night at their grandparents this week since I had an early ultrasound. And you know what that means…DATE NIGHT! Date nights are few and far between in these parts so we were really excited to spend some time alone. It really was only four years ago that EVERY NIGHT was kidless but it seems like it could have been a million years ago. We have grown and changed so much as a family. I’m sure, like most couples, we talked mostly about the kids. The first thought for both of us when we started eating was “Oh my gosh! Reid would love this rice!”.
A Break from the Heat
We finally got a little break from the heat this week. T-Ball was much more enjoyable sans sweltering temps. This small break from the heat has already got me thinking about apple picking and pumpkin desserts. I’m going to enjoy the last few weeks of summer but that glimmer of fall was a nice sneak peak.
