Friday Favorites

Hey Everyone!

I for one am SOO glad it’s Friday. But also, I’m a little nervous. This weekend my goal is to tackle my first favorite of the week…

Potty Training

Ok, Ok. I don’t know if this classifies as a favorite or not. But I do have to say that I am happy for Reid. He seems ready and excited about it. I had planned to tackle this over Labor Day weekend but I thought it was a little too close to our Disney Trip. I didn’t trust that he would be fully ready by Disney and I  didn’t want to confuse him by putting him back in diapers on the trip. This weekend was relatively free so we’re going to give it a go. We have our M&Ms and sticker charts ready. When Hank filled up his sticker chart we took him to Storybook Land. Reid, always the one-upper, says he wants to go to Storybook Land AND the water park, lol.

Bun in the Oven

On Wednesday I shared why I’ve been a blogging slacker the past couple weeks. We are expecting another baby in January and we are over the moon excited. I still feel pretty exhausted and we don’t know if it is a boy or girl yet so we are just daydreaming about nursery themes and stock piling diapers. No seriously, you should see how many boxes of diapers I’ve amassed! This kids can poop as much as he/she wants. I got ’em covered.

Despite the heat we have barely been inside this summer. Hank is LOVING T-Ball (and I love love love watching him play) and every weekend we are heading out for another adventure. This past weekend we went peach picking and road tripped into Maryland to hike and climb some little mountains.

I don’t really drink normally and definitely can’t now that I’m pregnant so I ask that you all have a drink for me this weekend while tackle potty training. Wish me luck!

While you’re here check out a few of my wonderful blog friends.

Good luck this weekend! My first and third were a piece of cake, I literally did NOTHING. They just woke up one day and decided they were done with diapers. Emma was another story, she was 3.5 when she was finally potty trained!

Congratulations on the new baby! How exciting! Potty training is always so time consuming but worth it. Mentally preparing myself for it was always the hardest part! Hahaha! Good luck and again congratulations!

Way to go on stockpiling! You’ll be so happy you did later! I’m sure Reid will get the hang of it quickly- the 2nd kid always wants to be like the older sibling. I got Ari potty-trained by letting her watch music videos on YouTube- she loved Queen’s “We Will Rock You!” Good luck this weekend! Hope you’re feeling well!

Congrats on the baby news. But the potty training- I can’t lie- this one was pretty brutal for us. Fingers and toes crossed for good luck on that area and lots of patience. And peach pickomg sounds pretty amazing, your pictures are all so beautiful. I hope you made some great peach recipes! Happy weekend!
