We made it everyone!
It’s been a roller coaster of week over here for us. We’ve had a few very sick family members we are worried about but we also got some very exciting family news that I can’t wait to share with you soon. I generally hate that type of vague-post but trust me, its been a whopper of a week and we are all looking forward to some weekend recovery.
While you are here, check out my other posts from the week:
I shared our trip to Niagara Falls and talked about all of my parenting mistakes on the trip.
I asked you all for advise as to how you handle Squabbling Siblings.

Someone needs to give me an intervention about how much money I am spending on deal sites! Stat! Hip2save- I’m all over it! Passion for Savings- Yup, yup, yup! Whenever I see a great deal I have to swoop it up. I bought a weight rack the other day and, while Kevin was pretty pleased, I was 100% not in the market to buy a weight rack. I even called Kevin at his clinic the other day to ask if we needed a 10-person tent. He was like “Well, we have a 6-person tent that you never want to stay in. So…probably not….”
I’m tempted to ask if there are any super awesome sites out there that I don’t even know about but that will probably just feed my addiction.
I want to send a congratulations and a thank you to Holly at Pink Lady. She just celebrated her 10 year blogaversary (BTW I love that bloggers have made that a word) and to celebrate hosted a Nordstrom Gift Card giveaway which was won by your truly. You have to check out Holly’s blog! I am forever awed by how much this girl can accomplish. Her family is gorgeous, they are very involved in their community, have a wide circle of friends and she makes some mean recipes! Thank you, thank you, thank you Holly!
On Father’s Day we had a last minute luncheon for friends and family at our home. We had a wonderful turnout and great food and I felt so blessed that we all got to share the day together. I did want to gush a bit about my husband who is such a fantastic father. No exaggeration, before we had Hank, Kevin had never held a baby before. Now he is packing lunches, making potty charts, teaching the kids classic 90s songs, and training them to be men. I know it can get crazy in our house, but I couldn’t imagine having anyone else for a partner in this chaos.
I know I just penned an entire post this week about the boys fighting but they are totally hot and cold. They have some absolutely wonderful moments that make my heart swell. They have taken to sitting together on the rocker in Reid’s room and Hank will “read” to Reid by describing the pictures. Last night I walked in and Hank was reading a book while Reid rubbed Hank’s back. All I want is for these two to grow up to be best friends. That’s not asking too much, right?!
I gave a full run down HERE but the trip was still a favorite. Hank said it best yesterday when he said “My favorite days are the days where me, you, Daddy, and Reid are together all day”. I agree, Hank. There is nothing better than being with my family no matter where we are, but a pretty backdrop doesn’t hurt either.
While you’re here check out a few of my wonderful blog friends.
