Happy Friday Friends!!
After work today I am going to go pick up Kevin and the boys at home and we are hitting the beach!!
I also want to give a shout out to Bright on a Budget, Cup of Tea, byBMG, and Della Devoted for choosing me as their featured blogger for this week’s High Five for Friday. I have been reading their blogs for so long and they continue to inspire me with their stye and grace. Thank you again ladies! I’m flattered.
If you want to catch up with us, check out my other posts from the week:
I talked about Memorial Day plans and how we are kicking off our summer.
I shared my mom’s favorite Gluten Free Corn Cake recipe.
And, like every week, you can check out my Weekend Recap.

Here are a few of my favorites this week:
Hank is in parochial school so yesterday he had his first ever May Procession. I call him the little preacher because he is always sharing with us the religious stories he learns in school and tries to teach it all to Reid. He has been sharing with us all about Mary and won’t take off his miraculous medal.
We’ve been down already this year for the day but the boys are SO excited for our first full weekend down the shore. They have their bags packed and are ready to go!
Our goals for the weekend are:
Pirate Treasure Hunt (this is pirate weekend at our beach where the kids dig up treasure chests in the sand and can win some pretty awesome prizes)
Trip to the lighthouse
Family contest for who can find the best seashell
We stopped at the store last night and walked out with a HUGE HAUL of sandcastle making supplies. WE.ARE.READY.
We are getting a kick out of making our own popsicles. I got a box of store bought ones earlier this month and was DISGUSTED by there amount of food dye in them. The kids’s faces, hands and arms were horribly stained and no matter how much I scrubbed I couldn’t get the red and orange dye off of them. I bought some all natural ones but I still think making our own is the better way to go.
Kids at Work
My kids LOVE hanging out at my work. I mean, I would too if I were them. Everyone gets so excited when they see the boys and hand them candy, dollar bills, little toys, you name it! Side note: I manage a team of financial professionals. Why in the world do people have such readily available toys and treats?! I have had to bring the kids in with me a few times recently when I was needed for special meetings and these boys definitely make it an interesting work day.
Petite Maxi Dresses
I am looking for a few maxi dresses in petite size (I am only 5 foot tall). I found these from Nordstom Rack that I liked but I also wanted for get a few that weren’t so BUSY. Anyone know who would sell petite maxi dresses? I struck out at Nordstrom but these were from Nordstrom Rack.
We had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day with family and food. The boys made me the sweetest handmade gifts and I got to spend time with a lot of the Mama’s in my life. So thankful to be these boys’ Mom.
Knock on wood! My boys have been getting along fabulously lately. They are playing well and never want to be apart from each other. So, they keep asking if they can start sleeping in the same bed together. I am not opposed at all but as soon as they get in bed together they are so excited that they start getting crazy and wound up. Now they keep telling me that they are going to sleep together at the beach this weekend…we’ll have to see about that.
While you’re here check out a few of my wonderful blog friends.
