I don’t think I have ever been so happy to see a Friday.
I have had a KILLER week at work. The stress is wearing me down and I can’t wait to unwind a little bit this weekend. I am vowing to not burn myself out as much next week but…we’ll see how that goes. I am just keeping my eye on the prize knowing that we have so much fun planned for this summer.
If you want to catch up on our week, check out the latest posts.
I shared my April Book Reviews.
And, like every week, you can check out my Weekend Recap.

So now on to my favorites:
Our library has a program to promote kids reading 1000 books before Kindergarten. This week Hank hit the mark! When we turned in our final submissions the sweet librarians made a big fuss over him. He was so proud of himself (as he should be) when they gave him his crown, ribbon and award. They hung his picture up in the children’s section of the library and Hank declared himself the King of the Library. We treated our awesome king to a milkshake to celebrate.
My brother Brian and sister-in-law Michelle just got a new puppy so yesterday we got to visit and snuggle him. He was just the sweetest thing. My brother-in-law fell in love with him but they called to inquire about him and they told him the puppy was casted from a fall that broke his leg. Brian insisted that they wanted him anyway. They named him Simba. I can’t imagine that Simba could have found a better, more loving home.
Our Town Fair
We are crossing all of our crossables in hopes that this weekend’s rain holds out for our town fair. We went last year when we moved to town and it was AMAZING. There are rides, fireworks, bands, helicopters, first responders showing off their skills and every animal you could imagine. For the record, the fish (named Mommy, Grammy, and Goldilocks are still alive and swimming’).
