Friday Favorites

Hey Everyone! Is anyone else still on a sugar high from the Easter candy?

I donated blood last night so that totally justifies the fact that I also ate candy for dinner. Right?

It has been a slooooowww week on the blog. We’ve been battling some serious allergies (colds maybe?) over here in Jersey. But check out my recent posts:

I co-hosted my VERY FIRST linkup where we shared our Favorite Target Finds.
And, like every week, you can check out my Weekend Recap.

You can also follow along on Instagram.

And last but not least, here are a few of my favorites from the week:

Easter

We had a fantastic time on Easter and always use these holidays to reflect on the blessings in our lives. I know for fortunate we are to have happy and healthy children and supportive extended families. I thank God every day for all he has given me.

Date Night/Sleepover

Hank is on Easter break from school so the boys slept over Kevin’s parents’ house one night this week and my mother-in-law sent me these adorable pictures. Of course we made the night into a mid-week date night for ourselves. We went to dinner at a new sports bar that just opened and out for ice cream. We always say that we need to do dates more often but it is always so hard to coordinate. Plus, we both work and any time we have with the kids is precious. One of the girls on our street (who is just the sweetest thing) is just getting into babysitting so I talked to her and her mom about having her sit with the boys just while Kevin and I go for walks together through the park at the end of our block.

13 Reasons Why

Yup, I jumped on this bandwagon. I haven’t finished yet but it is so well done. I wish that there was a disclaimer for any young person watching it saying something like “This is NOT how you SHOULD behave but unfortunately this is how teens actually DO behave”. I am glad though that it has such a high viewership. I’ve heard many parents say that they are watching it with their teens and I think that that is fantastic.

Game of Thrones

This one is for all my fellow GoT fans. New pics from the season were just released yesterday. Check them out HERE. I may have squealed a few times while scrolling though. If your a fan of Games of Thrones, then I’m a fan of you.

Boys Pants

This is NOT a favorite. It is me asking for recommendations. Hank has ripped holes in the knees of THREE pairs of pants THIS WEEK alone! What in the world is this boy doing to his pants?! When I ask him, he just tells me “I played so hard that I played holes RIGHT THROUGH my pants!” OBVIOUSLY!

Does anyone have any recommendations for toddler sized pants that are a better quality than the Carters ones he is ripping? I don’t mind paying a little more if they stay in good condition because they will eventually be passed down to Reid.

While you’re here check out a few of my wonderful blog friends.

Hope you all are feeling better soon, we have colds running through our family too, yuck. Yay for babysitters!! Believe me, it is life changing, especially when your child is the one babysitting, haha!

Hope you all find joy in the weekend and everyone is feeling like their old selves! My boys have watched 13 reasons why and I think my husband and I need to watch too. And her oldest is crazy for Game of Thrones. Happy weekend doll!

I think Trip mostly wore Cherokee/Circo from Target but those brands have been replaced by Cat and Jack. I think their boy line is decent. On the rare occasion that we stop into Walmart, I pick up Wrangler pants for Trip to have at the ranch. We also have liked The Children’s Place for jeans since they carry a variety of sizes/shapes. Good on you for donating blood! Have a great weekend!

All allergies over here too. At least I think that’s what it is, but so hard to tell if it’s also a cold. Our Jersey weather has been all over the place this week, right?! How nice you got a date night in. We always say we need to do it more often too and then life just happens instead. Have a great weekend girl! Beautifully Candid
