Hello friends!! I hope you are all recovering from all of the 4th of July festivities. We had a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends.
In the morning the boys and I met up with my family for my hometown’s parade. It was wonderful. Hank was SO EXCITED because it was literally raining candy the entire time.
A candy kid’s dream come true.
Check out that haul.
Reid was a little overwhelmed at first and wasn’t sure why all the little kids were running into the street. A couple of taffies later and he got the hang of it.
After the parade and naps we met up with some family and friends. My sister-in-law hosted a fun BBQ and the weather was perfect for swimming.
Enjoying some watermelon.
Watching Daddy do cannonballs.
After swim we put on our jammies and headed out to watch fireworks.
The weather kept calling for rain and we were hoping that it would hold out. It started drizzling and a ton of people left. The town kept saying that they were still going to let them off so we waited it out in the cars. A 9pm, just as the rain paused, the went off. We were so happy we stayed to watch.
You can see the train of cars of everyone leaving from the rain. When they started going off everyone just pulled to the side and enjoyed.
Again I hope you all had a wonderful day. Happy Birthday America!
