Today our Hank turns 4 years old! I know people always say “I can’t believe it!” when their child gets another year older. But with Hank, I can’t believe he is ONLY four. He is such an old soul and I have a hard time remembering the days that he wasn’t with me. It feels like he has been with me, in my heart, forever.
My dream growing up was always to be a mother. Truly, I never wanted anything more than I wanted to be someone’s mother. When Kevin and I got married we knew we were going to wait a few years to have kids So he could finish his doctoral program. I’m not going to lie, I had MAJOR baby fever back then and was dying to start having kids. Finally I could not wait any longer and we were lucky enough to time Hank’s birth the month after Kevin’s graduation.
Since he was born Hank has amazed us with his intellect, kindness, and athleticism. He is a natural caretaker and is always looking to help anyone in need.
Hank, since your last birthday you have:
