I couldn’t be happier to see this Friday. It has been a crazy busy work week and I am running to the weekend with open arms. We have a play date scheduled for Saturday with my very best friend and her little munchkins, a football game Saturday night and we might hit the beach on Sunday. GIVE ME THE WEEKEND! The week hasn’t been without some highlights though. Check out some of my favorites:
We are making moves on this baby’s nursery. Do you have a space/room in your house where all of the crap accumulates? That was this room for us. It was a delightful mix of guest room coupled with boxes that were never unpacked from when we moved in almost two years ago. There was a reason this door was always closed. Anyway, we cleared out the whole room and are almost done priming the walls. We have bought that Paint+Primer in one before and it never comes out as well as we’d like so we are sticking to old school primer. We are dedicated DIYers and hate paying for things we can do ourselves so Kevin is our resident painter. I should mention that he hates painting with the fire of a 1000 suns. The 3 things he probably hates the most in this world is mushrooms, snakes, and painting. My helpful response to him was somewhere along the lines of “Tough luck, Buddy. This is LITERALLY your only job in this process.”
We ended up buying a new crib and my incredibly generous sister stopped by with a HUGE bag full of baby clothes that she bought for us. We are on our way.
AAAAHHH! You know your trip is coming up when you get your Magic Bands!! I have no idea what I’m doing with this trip and should probably spend a few minutes to look up Disney Vacation Checklists or something. I know I have to change some Fast Passes because of a change in our flight and I would like to print a map so that I can highlight the attractions that I think the kids will enjoy. I’m sure there is an app for this but I’m better with paper.
Speaking of DIYers, I want to give a shoutout to this guy who fixed our riding mower that we thought was shot. Saved us a ton of cash and I know I wouldn’t have a clue how to fix such a thing. When we married he was clueless about most home repairs and now he does it ALL and with the precision of a professional. I also want to give a shout out to YouTube for teaching him everything he knows.
I am FINALLY starting to feel the baby move. I felt some flutters a few weeks ago but then nothing. I felt movement much earlier with the boys and the doctor even told me that I should be feeling movement early because of the placenta placement but…nada. I just started feeling movement about 2 days ago but it has been pretty consistent. It is such a distraction but a very welcome one.
I am still obsessed with this picture that the woman captured when I got the boys’ picture taken this week. Look at those smiles!
While you’re here check out a few of my wonderful blog friends.
